We are looking for a recently qualified Accountant with up to five years post-qualification experience and who is seeking to undertake a management consultancy role.

Reporting to a Moore Insight Principal Consultant or Project Manager, the work will be undertaken from our Sheffield office and remotely from home with travel, when required, to client sites around the UK. The role will be to support projects as assigned and directed to the highest standard focusing on operational excellence and client delivery in accordance with our methodology and tools.

Key responsibilities:

Client project work for the role of Finance ERP Consultant

Activities with clients will include:

  • Financial systems accounting advice and support
  • Developing a business plan or a business case
  • Requirements gathering
  • Report writing
  • Financial analysis
  • Systems process and design, including supporting reconciliations
  • Data migration
  • Designing interfaces
  • Integration of separate systems
  • Planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Systems design and testing documentation
  • Ascertain detailed requirements of work to be undertaken.
  • Work with client finance teams providing accounting advice and support in accordance with assignment.
  • Deliver products or work packages in accordance with the Moore Insight Lead Consultant or Project Manager.
  • Prepare, arrange, and support meetings / presentations / workshops with key client stakeholders.
  • Carry out tasks as required by Insight Management using Moore Insight products and methodology.
  • Maintain accurate records of billable time spent using our Clockify software platform.
  • Contribute to sales for Moore Insight and leveraging the wider Moore network, including bid development and sales presentations to clients.
  • Sharing your knowledge and insight in supporting the development and delivery of marketing campaigns.

Education and experience

Qualifications

  • Full Accountancy qualification and have obtained appropriate institute certification (will be checked) with significant post-qualification work experience.
  • Degree level (minimum 2.1) education or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills Knowledge of a variety of commercial finance systems.
  • Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with an awareness of extended Microsoft collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and Planner.
  • Knowledge of methodologies such as PRINCE2 useful and / or ITIL.
  • Practical knowledge of accounting best practice.
  • Exposure to commercial finance systems.
  • Logical career path reflecting a breadth of relevant accounting experience since qualification.
  • Previous business experience working with limited support or unsupervised on projects.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to meet critical deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience of previous consultancy work an asset.
  • Experience of supervision of staff or working closely with client stakeholders.
  • Experience of IFRS.
