Job description

Moore NI is seeking to appoint a Payroll Specialist.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone keen to develop and progress their career in a busy and growing payroll services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and flexible individual seeking a challenging role in a dynamic environment. Reporting to our Head of Payroll we require an energetic and enthusiastic professional to join our existing team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Processing of multi frequency payrolls from start to finish within agreed timescales, including RTI Submissions

·       Calculating all aspects of payroll processing including, and not limited to, SSP and SMP, attachment of earnings, benefits in kind, one off payments, employee loans etc

·      Processing leaver payments and providing P45s

·       Ability to deal with pro-rata calculations for new starters, leavers and mid cycle salary adjustments

·       Assisting with arranging payments including BACS submissions

·       Meeting the requirements of pensions auto enrolment including the setup of workplace pensions and declarations to the Pension Regulator

·       Providing clients with all relevant payroll documentation and customised reports where necessary

·       Responsible for meeting client key performance indicators identifying areas for improvement/efficiency

·       Payroll query resolution including ad hoc payment where necessary

·       Preparation and submission of year end reports,P60s

·       Preparation and submission of P11Ds

·       Keeping up to date with new legislation and regulatory ruling impacting payroll

·       Undertaking relevant training as required

·       Actively participating in current and future projects

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

·       Experience in Sage payroll or similar payroll packages

·       Minimum of 3 years working in a busy payroll environment

·       Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

·        Proven ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high level of accuracy

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)

·       Excellent time management, flexibility and organisation skills

Desirable

·       Payroll qualification or be willing to work towards

·       ROI Payroll Experience
